Creating change can be exhausting work. Finding ways to nourish, sustain and inspire yourself and others involved in leading and creating change is essential to counter the drivers of burnout and disconnection.
This dynamic workshop explores ways to understand and identify what contributes to fatigue and examines additional layers for people working in changemaking for people in rainbow communities. It offers practical approaches to frame, plan and strengthen strategies that can shift the burden of overwhelm, and connect people to what enables sustainable ways of working in what can be challenging spaces.

We work with with a small number of external facilitators who bring their subject-matter expertise to the collaborative development of workshops hosted by The Equality Project. Be Bannerman is the lead facilitator of this workshop, supported by The Equality Project staff.
Be Bannerman (they/them)
Be is a passionate facilitator, advocate and lifelong learner who has worked with individuals and groups at the interface of social justice and transformative change for many years.
As a trainer, social worker, counsellor and advocate, they utilise their specialist skills and experience in the areas of trauma recovery, systems advocacy, workforce capability building, sustainable leadership and LGBTQIA+ experiences of oppression and liberation, to co-create spaces that enable connection, change and new possibilities for aliveness.

At the completion of this workshop, participants will gain practical strategies and sustainable approaches to working as leaders and changemakers by disrupting the conditions that lead to burnout.
